Welcome to Blombo Tales!

The first 59 comics are based from random thoughts that I’ve had and can be read without knowing anything at all about the comic. However at comic #60 I’ve introduced an ongoing storyline (putting the Tales into Blombo Tales). Click the archive button above to browse the storylines.

Characters

Jayne Jayne is an occasionally-studious (but easily distracted) high-school girl. At school she is sociable but not popular due to her independent nature. She is quite happy following her own choices alone if she is uninterested in what her schoolmates are planning.

Eddie Shortly after he was legally an adult Eddie became the sole legal guardian for his sister Jayne when their parents left under mysterious circumstances. He has been touring the bottom rungs of the workforce to try to support them for the last five years but now that his sister is older he doesn’t know where to begin to catch up on his life.

Blombo Blombo is a blombo – a species of fuzzy yellow creatures vaguely representing a sack of potatoes. Blombo’s parents, being well known for their lack of imagination, gave him the name of their entire race rather than think of yet another original name for one of their twelve offspring. Bunnyears For reasons that are presumably quite natural Bunnyears actually has bunny ears. It was this unique feature that gave his parents the stroke of genious that allowed them to decide upon his name. He has been living it down ever since. Twitter: @BunnyearsBT

Winston Winston is the oldest sibling in the litter that Blombo and Bunnyears came from. He is highly technical by nature and has an affinity with machinery perhaps even verging on some advanced form of technomancy. Upon meeting Aly, his first encounter with a sentient machine, he is able to hear her thoughts but he does not realise this is at all unusual. Twitter: @WinstonBT

Aly Eddie was proud of the effort it took him to finally earn enough money to buy are car he decided to name it. Aly is the spirit of the car and unbeknownst to Eddie she has dedicated her heart and soul to him forever.

Liz One of Jayne’s friends at school. She is an only child making her often opinionated and outspoken however she does have the most amazing doll collection that you will ever see in your life.

Michael Michael is a boy at Jayne’s school, whom she has a crush on. As far as Jayne is concerned Michael is a puzzle wrapped in an enigma sprinkled with a healthy dose of WTF?!

Warren A longtime employee of the firm that Eddie is now working for. Curious by nature which sometimes makes him a sticky beak but also contributes to his vast intelligence over a broad range of subjects. As far as any life wisdom he has for Eddie it tends to be given after it would have been most helpful.

Kaitlyn One of Jayne’s friends. She is a very easygoing person making her fun to be around and a social butterfly at parties. She doesn’t outwardly appear to worry or take anything seriously which leads others to mistakenly believing that Kaitlyn doesn’t think or care very deeply about anything.

The Adminotaur Not depicted here and instead shown in silhouette as his face is too horrific to look at. The Adminotaur is the name given to the IT technician in the office Eddie works for. Huge, dark, mysterious and quite probably hairy he usually keeps to himself unless some poor soul makes the mistake of calling him to do his job. Twitter: @Adm1notaurBT
